The Scarlet Blades venerates “Makavar the Ember Shield”, the spirit of a fallen regimental champion said to have stood alone against a massed cavalry charge, holding the line with a shattered shield and broken leg until reinforcements arrived. Makavar’s spirit is bound into the regimental standard (a crimson banner with a black shield and crescent moon), and acts as a Wyter for the unit.

Creation Notes

Regimental Spirit Cult of the Scarlet Blades Lunar Heavy Infantry Regiment. The Scarlet Blades is a prestigious heavy infantry unit, formed in Doblian Province and stationed for most of its active campaigns in Tarsh and Dragon Pass. Known for its disciplined phalanx formations, shield wall tactics, and brutal counterattacks, the Scarlet Blades are shock troops trained to hold the line and drive deep into enemy ranks. Clad in red-lacquered cuirasses and carrying polished iron shields emblazoned with the Red Moon, they are as much a symbol of Lunar resolve as they are a blunt instrument of war.
